HeartChef is about healthy and affordable Southern cookery.  Southern flavors are savored for their taste and often misjudged for being unhealthy.  As a Cardiologist in the Florida Panhandle, I have engaged in a daily crusade with thousands of patients regarding eating and cooking Southern food that is healthy, affordable and enjoyed as well. With recipes, pictures, an occasional video spiced with good stories and a simple message I will endeavor to encourage a diet of fresh fruit and vegetables, fish and poultry, whole grains, nuts and olive oil.
